Village Notice: Temporary Closure of the Route 3 Pit Stop

The Village of Hobart regrets to announce that the Pit Stop has been temporarily closed by order of the Proctor County Health Department.
Mayor Velma Chiggins issued the following statement:
“The Village regrets to inform the public of the Pit Stop’s temporary closure. While we understand this will cause inconvenience to residents seeking snacks, fuel, or informal legal advice, the health and safety of Hobart’s people remains our highest priority. We urge citizens not to panic, as the vending machine behind Town Hall is still in operation.”
Residents are asked to remain calm and direct any snack-related concerns to the Hobart Human and Animal Clinic.

Out-of-World / Creator’s Progress Update
I want to be transparent about what’s going on. With the Pit Stop closed, Hobart itself will be going on a short hiatus while I regroup, get ahead, build a buffer, do some background work, and get ahead in writing.
When I started this, I never expected the world to flower the way it did, and I’m grateful to have a little band of miscreants faithfully reading my absolute work of fucking art every Sunday.
Just some of the things I am working on:
- 6-10 week buffer
- Upgraded website (with zoom for non-pinchers, and comments! and working RSS!)
- Maps
- More writing
- Background work
- Yes, I will put up some merch
