Week 3 is in. And some ongoing updates…

This week was a filler comic. I think the filler is nice though. It allows you to see the environment a little. Hobart is as much about the town itself as it is the characters. I don’t like calling it filler, even though that’s what exactly what it is. But while it may not contribute anything to the plot, it gives you a little peek through the window.

I intended to “take a break” from the story comic so I could get some backgrounds and thumbnails done. I got some of it started, but this week’s comic ended up not being a break. Not in a bad way, but I maybe should have did a true filler comic.

Comic brain is real. I am constantly forgetting things after I save the comic and publish. This time I actually went back and revised the panel with some missing detail and re-uploaded it. I did that the last time too, to fix dialogue issues. Another lesson learned is to definitely plan the speech bubbles ahead of time. I keep hearing people say that, and I keep telling myself I’m going to do that, and then I never do.

I haven’t got names for any of the Riverfront Shoppes yet, or even what is in them. I am working on that in between everything else I have going on. This weekend for example, I finished up a 2500 word and a 1400 word paper for my Ancient History class. As the world grows, there will probably be revisions, retcons and what have you, as needed.

Also, I’ve only drawn cars a mere handful of times in my entire life. I felt like the one driving down the street was easier than the parked ones. Strange. I’m also still learning proportions. I get messed up on them sometimes.

I seem to be getting traffic, but I’m pretty sure a majority of it is spam. I’ve blocked as much as I could. But with that being said, if there are people reading this, I don’t bite. Shoot me an email and say hi!

The RSS still isn’t fixed, I think I know what the issue is. So hopefully that will be fixed soon if you want it in a feed reader, but I think I’ve pretty much decided that Sundays will be the upload day.

Edit 8:24pm Hot Dog Quest –

I feel like I’m probably the only royal subject of the Hot Dog Kingdom who didn’t know this, but, if you’ve never baked your hot dogs in the oven, I’m just gonna tell ya, Lord have mercy on your soul. 400° oven preheat. 10-15 minutes. (10 for me, my oven runs hotter) Use all beef. I used Hebrew National. Cut a slit down the full length. Put em on a baking sheet and be ready to have some of the most tender, juciest pig lips and assholes you’ve ever tasted. Guaranteed.

I’ve been eating hot dogs since I was in the womb, I was probably born in hot dog water, and I didn’t even think to put in the oven. In hindsight, I should have probably used my air fryer instead. I had to come back to write all of this.
