Content Notes
Hobart, Ohio is a comic for adults. Not in the explicit sense – in the sense that it depicts people dealing with the kinds of things adults actually deal with.
That includes:
- Mental health and substance use
- Relationships and their complications
- Guns, as a normal part of life in this part of the country
- Sexual themes (not explicit)
- Regional and cultural satire
The tone is generally comedic. The subject matter is sometimes not.
A note on the characters
Hobart is a small Appalachian river town, and the people in it look the part. If your first instinct is to see them as stereotypes, that’s fine – stick around. Dale Bob is more than a mullet. Everyone here is.
